SUNDAY

monday

The Bakers Arms, Bugbrooke - monthly, every first Monday. Large performing area with backing band if required. Again a forgiving audience, mainly locals enjoying some live entertainment.

The Monk & Minstrel, Isham - Every second Tuesday, monthly. A regular music venue in a friendly pub. Gets very busy with guest soloists and groups. Really need to book a floor spot to avoid disappointment. Professional pa set up. Kontra Acoustic run the session with miltary precision !.

Kennedy's, Finedon - Last Tuesday each month - A bit of a circus, groups welcome. Huge fun

TUESDAY

The Boot, Earls Barton - Small village pub, electric players, but acoustics tolerated. Set up in the Summer 2005, the acoustic terrorists are making inroads here !

The Horseshoe, Wellingborough - A town venue seen by some as the route to bigger and better things. Links to the Deportees Club at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY

The White Horse, Woodford - A large pub in a village. Room set aside for the music, bar seperate. Good pa system with a listening and appreciative audience. Subdued lighting on stage area sometimes.

Joules Eating House, Market Harborough - A really unique experience, this one. Monthly event, every third Thursday. Perform 'in the round' from September to April, totally acoustic, not an amplifier in sight. Complete silence as each performer does his or her thing. No bar as such, but bottles and cans offered for sale by proprietor. Joules the dog in attendance. A growl from him and you're off stage !

The Bell, Finedon - At the bottom of Bell Hill, a rambling warren of a pub with the acoustic folk at one end, in a room of their own. Appear at the door with a guitar case, friendly locals point you in the right direction. A bit of a hike to the bar ! Tend to see usual performers here, but newcomers welcome. Great applause for good music.
